A PERSONAL APPROACH TO YOUNG PERFORMER REPRESENTATION

LED BY PROFESSIONAL INDUSTRY EXPERIENCE

Stroud Talent is led by industry professionals Lauren Stroud and Justin Thomas, whose complementary experience spans theatre, television, film, casting, choreography, teaching and professional performance.

Together, they combine current, first-hand industry knowledge with a shared commitment to supporting the next generation of performers. Their experience helps young actors, singers and dancers understand the professional standards, preparation, commitment and resilience the industry requires.

Lauren’s professional career spans theatre, touring productions, television and live performance. Her creative credits include work as a resident, associate and assistant choreographer on productions such as The Wizard of Oz, Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Robin Hood at the London Palladium and the BBC’s Bad Education Christmas Special.

She has also choreographed and supported productions including Fame, The Mad Ones, Aladdin, Spring Awakening, Sweet Charity and The Children’s Inquiry.

Lauren’s experience of casting, rehearsals and professional productions enables her to guide performers and their families through the industry with clarity, honesty and practical support.

Justin trained at D&B Academy of Performing Arts and has worked professionally in musical theatre for more than a decade. His credits include Back to the Future, Wicked, Aladdin, Grease, West Side Story, Mamma Mia!, Dirty Dancing and Kiss Me, Kate.

He has also appeared on television and in films including Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again and Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One. Alongside performing, Justin teaches dance and drama at Stroud Theatre Arts, giving young performers valuable insight into auditions and the realities of working professionally.

WHY STROUD TALENT EXISTS

Stroud Talent was created to give talented and committed young performers access to professional representation within a supportive, personal environment.

We believe young people should be represented as individuals. That means taking the time to understand each performer’s strengths, personality and ambitions, while making sure families have clear, honest guidance about how the industry works.

We are proud to be a selective agency. We represent a carefully considered group of young performers, allowing us to get to know our clients properly and put them forward for opportunities that are appropriate for their age, skills and experience.

Representation cannot guarantee auditions or professional work, but it can ensure that young performers are presented professionally and considered for suitable opportunities when they arise.

SUPPORTING YOUNG PERFORMERS & THEIR FAMILIES

Professional representation is a partnership between the agency, the young performer and their family. As a sole representation agency, Stroud Talent represents each client exclusively across the entertainment industry, so an open and committed relationship is important.

We aim to make that relationship as straightforward and supportive as possible. Families receive clear information about auditions, self-tapes and professional opportunities, together with guidance on what is expected at each stage.

Our approach is encouraging but realistic. We want young performers to enjoy the experience, continue developing their skills and feel supported, while understanding that the industry is competitive and every performer’s journey will be different.

The wellbeing, education and individual needs of each young person remain important throughout their time with the agency.

WHO WE REPRESENT

Stroud Talent is a children’s talent agency which represents children and teenagers aged 6 – 18 with skills across acting, singing, dance & musical theatre.

We consider young performers with a range of experience, from those taking their first steps towards professional work to those who have already appeared in stage or screen productions.

What matters most is genuine potential, commitment, confidence in performance and the support needed to take on professional opportunities.

Stroud Talent has grown from Lauren & Justin’s wider experience of training, supporting and working with young performers through Stroud Theatre Arts.

The two businesses share the same commitment to developing confidence, creativity and professional standards, but Stroud Talent has its own distinct purpose: representing selected young performers and submitting them for suitable professional opportunities.
